Consistent and correct use of condoms reduces the risk of STDs and HIV transmission. Your personal supply of free condoms are available at 23 locations throughout Vermont.
HIV can be prevented, and the risk of infection greatly reduced, through changes in behaviors or taking actions that can interrupt transmission.
The Division of Maternal and Child Health is committed to health and well-being before, during and after pregnancy.
An individual’s ability to access family planning, which allows them to choose whether and when to have children, has a direct impact on their health and well-being, as well as on the outcome of each pregnancy. Family planning is achieved using birth control and the treatment of involuntary infertility. We work to ensure that all Vermonters have access to quality family planning services, including services that support achieving a healthy pregnancy, preconception health care services, contraceptive services and screening for and treating sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS.
