Bennington, VT local health office building

We are the face of public health in Bennington County. We work with schools, employers, town offices and other groups to serve individuals and families right here in our community. We help pregnant women, new mothers and children to eat well and learn about nutrition. We provide breastfeeding support, immunizations and identify opportunities to minimize the spread of disease. We conduct drills to prepare for potential public health emergencies and support programs and policies that help all people form healthy lifelong habits. We invite you to learn about the many ways we can help you, your family and your community.

In This Section

Our Healthy Homes Team works to ensure that 1- and 2-year olds in our area are screened for lead poisoning through their primary health care provider or, for children who receive WIC Services, at a WIC Clinic.

Vermont continues to be one of the healthiest states in the nation, yet we know there are always challenges ahead. To meet these, we track, measure, report on and apply data in order to achieve our shared goals for improving public health.

We welcome your call or email. Our regular office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are closed on Vermont state holidays.
