WEBINAR 1: What are Evaluations and Why are They Important to Strategic Planning?
The first webinar in this learning collaborative will review the core concepts of evaluation, the connections between evaluations and environmental scans, and how effective evaluations improve prevention service delivery. It will discuss the purposes of evaluation and how evaluations can be used to identify and pursue opportunities for improving community health and well-being. The webinar will also review the principles of evaluation (utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy) and explain their meaning. Additionally, it will begin to explore how evaluations are developed from programmatic knowledge and planning tools such as logic models and action plans.
