Engaging Families in the Change Process: An Introduction to Motivational Interviewing with Families: (Part 2)

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an empirically-supported counseling style that helps people resolve ambivalence about behavior changes. Despite the applicability of MI with families, most training focuses on using MI with individuals, and there are limited opportunities to see MI in action with family members.

In this webinar, participants will observe MI in action with family members and learn how to apply generic OARS skills (e.g., Open Questions, Affirmations, Reflective Summaries) in family counseling sessions.
