Contingency Management Learning Collaborative

All of us have been influenced by rewards that encourage certain behaviors. Incentives are used successfully in a wide variety of settings.

Hundreds of research trials have proven the effectiveness of behavioral incentives.

Contingency Management (CM) is a highly effective evidence-based practice that uses incentives to encourage clients to engage in behaviors that support progress toward treatment goals. Providing regular rewards for reduced substance use, negative drug screens, treatment attendance, or other treatment goals has been proven to yield strong results.

This training and TA series will assist participants in understanding the fundamentals of CM and developing a plan for CM implementation in their practice setting. Special attention will be paid to the key components that will ensure the successful use of incentives:

  • Understanding behavioral modification.
  • Exploring the natural trends toward widespread use of incentives
  • Identifying the evidence-based elements that will create strong results.
  • Reviewing all the logistical components required for CM.
  • Building a draft for an individualized CM implementation plan.
  • Join us for this six session Learning Community and add this powerful recovery strategy to your treatment services!
