Trauma-Informed Screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Trauma can alter an individual's emotional regulation, diminish coping skills and further impact motivation to engage in treatment, and underscores the physiological nature of trauma responses.
This interactive learning opportunity will review the three components of an ACE score which include ACE screening, Toxic Stress Risk Assessment, and the person’s protective factors. The content will explore associated stress-related health conditions that are tending to present, and considerations to develop your clinical and non-clinical responses through trauma-informed approaches, interventions and community resources to support safety and healing.
For trainings that indicate Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available, contact the organizer and/or the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation to verify that the credits will count toward the continuing education requirements of your licensure or certification.
