Advanced Prevention Training: Building Resilient Substance Misuse Prevention Coalitions

This 2-hour interactive training for advanced prevention professionals will focus on ways you can ensure the longevity of your coalition.  The key to building lasting, community-supported coalitions requires intentional planning and partnership building.  In this training, we will discuss actionable strategies and tools to build a coalition with strong partnerships across the behavioral health spectrum, connecting to community leadership, and working with partners focused on shared risk and protective factors.

Important note: This session is part of our advanced prevention training series that focuses on the needs of experienced prevention specialists who have a substantial amount of knowledge and experience in substance misuse prevention. Facilitators of these sessions will assume that participants have a strong grasp of the substance misuse prevention field's foundational concepts, such as the Strategic Prevention Framework, risk/protective factors, universal/selective/indicated prevention interventions, the 6 CSAP strategies, etc. If you do not have this level of experience or knowledge yet, we recommend that you register for our trainings and webinars focused on other levels of experience.
