To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities as Vermont students return to school, we are encouraging you to have each school-age child in your household take two COVID-19 rapid tests.

REGISTRATION CLOSED Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. – If you did not get a chance to register online, you may be able to register in person at the site as long as supplies are available today 12/31 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Who are the tests for?
The tests are for Vermont K-12 students.

Where and when can I get a test?
There are over 50 sites around the state. Please choose the location closest to your child's school, to be sure we will have the right number of test kits at each site.

Sites will be open on Thursday and Friday, December 30 and 31, from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. and from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Some sites will have extended hours, which you can see when you register.

What kind of tests are they?
The Quidel QuickVue test is an antigen test. See Quidel QuickVue Quick Reference Instructions.

When should my child take their test?
Please have your child(ren) take these tests at least 24 hours apart, starting two days before school begins.

Example:
Sat., January 1: take the first test
Sun., January 2: take the second test
Mon., January 3: return to school

My child had a negative test result; now what?
If both of your child’s tests are negative and they have no COVID-19 symptoms, they can return to school. Any child experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home from school regardless of their test result.

Please report your test result to the Health Department.

What do I do if my child tests positive?
See information on What to do if you test positive.

Please report your test result to the Health Department.
