More Than Just "Cutting Back": The Clinician's Toolkit for Alcohol Use Disorder & Learning Collaborative
As behavioral health clinicians, we frequently encounter clients whose progress is hindered by an unrecognized or undertreated Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). This presentation aims to bridge that gap by equipping therapists, counselors and prescribers with a comprehensive, integrated toolkit.
We will move from theory to practice, covering how to quickly and compassionately screen for AUD, and demystifying the role of the three FDA-approved medications in improving outcomes. Finally, we will connect these components to the evidence-based psychosocial interventions and relapse prevention strategies that are central to our therapeutic practice, ensuring you can confidently address the full spectrum of AUD.
