Worksite wellness programs and policies help Vermonters lead healthy lives. When worksites remove barriers to healthy food choices, physical activity and access to preventive health services, they help reduce chronic disease risk factors and support emotional health, mental health and productivity. In return, investing in worksite wellness programs can help curb healthcare costs and have other financial benefits for employers.
We offer technical assistance, training and support as worksites develop or expand wellness programs and policies. We also connect worksites with resources, grant opportunities, and partners like RiseVT to support their wellness efforts. Additionally, we help employers work with tools like the Creating a Healthier Worksite guide and the Department of Health's Quit@Work Tool to support their wellness efforts.
Breastfeeding Friendly Employers
We have worked with a number of local businesses and schools to become breastfeeding friendly employers through the Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Project. See lists of Breastfeeding Friendly Employers in Vermont.
