Immunizations in Southern Windsor and Northern Windham Counties

Immunizations are the single most effective way to protect your family against serious and sometimes deadly diseases. Our Immunization Public Health Nurse works closely with families and medical practices to increase immunization rates in Southern Windsor and Northern Windham Counties for infants, children, adolescents and adults.

Immunization Clinics

The Springfield Local Health Office has a monthly immunization clinic for people under the age of 65 who are uninsured or who do not have access to vaccines.

We help local medical practices increase their immunization rates by using a quality improvement program known as AFIX. We discuss the practice's immunization rates, facilitate review of evidence-based strategies, and support development of plans to increase vaccination coverage in our communities.
