Immunizations in the Upper Northeast Kingdom

Our Immunization Public Health Nurse works closely with local families and medical practices to increase immunization rates in Orleans and Northern Essex County for infants, children, adolescents and adults. We offer immunization for people without insurance or access to immunizations, and are here to answer your questions about immunization.

For Health Care Providers

Immunization Program Information

Using the Vermont Immunization Program’s quality improvement model, known as AFIX, we assist local medical practices in increasing immunization rates.  This process involves reviewing immunization rates for each medical practice using data from Vermont’s Immunization Registry.  Based on this data, we share evidenced-based strategies with providers and support their implementation. We can also provide trainings and oversight related to vaccine storage and handling.
