Registration Open for Vermont Worksite Wellness Conference
Early bird registration ends March 1
BURLINGTON – Registration is open for the Vermont Worksite Wellness Conference, to be held March 21 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Burlington. The annual conference, which last year attracted 550 business owners, human resources professionals and wellness experts, is sponsored by the Vermont Department of Health and the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
Most Vermonters spend more than one-third of their day at their workplace. The programs, policies and environment at their worksite can significantly influence employees' health. The Worksite Wellness Conference offers a slate of workshops and opportunities for attendees to meet and network, and to delve deep into worksite wellness strategies and best practices.
Conference organizers are pleased to announce that this year’s keynote address, It’s About Time – Finding Focus Amidst Distraction, will be delivered by Dawna Ballard, PhD of the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Communication. Dr. Ballard is an expert in chronemics—the study of time as it is bound to human communication. Attendees will hear about what drives our pace of life and its impact on time management and the long-term vitality of organizations, communities and individuals.
Governor Phil Scott is anticipated to attend and present the Worksite Wellness awards to Vermont employers in recognition of their employee wellness programs. Last year, 81 Vermont employers were recognized for their efforts.
Early bird registration ends March 1. The deadline to register for the conference is March 10.
