Schools and their communities play a key role in helping to establish lifelong healthy behaviors, and thereby improving health outcomes for Vermont's school-aged children.

In Vermont mosquito season begins in spring but does not typically pose a health risk until the summer months. Take precautions against mosquito bites to protect yourself from mosquito-borne diseases. 

Poor indoor air quality in schools has been linked to decreased student and teacher performance and increased absenteeism as well as acute and chronic health effects. The Envision Program was created to help schools address indoor air quality issues.

We're all road users –  when we are driving, walking, cycling, passengers in a vehicle, and when using other transport. The Road User Safety program aims to reduce injury and deaths, and make Vermont roads safer for all of us.

The School Entry Immunization Rule sets immunization requirements for entry at public or independent kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools.
