Vermont Department of Health HIV/AIDS Program Director Tapped To Assist Angola

Vermont’s HIV/AIDS Director, Rod Copeland, PhD has been tapped to be a member of the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) Global Technical Assistance Team for Angola.
Dr. Copeland was chosen for the team based on his expertise in program management. As a team member, Dr. Copeland will spend up to six weeks in Angola during the next 12 months working with Angola’s National AIDS Program and Ministry of Health.
The goal of the NASTAD Technical Assistance Team is to increase the capacity of resource-restrained countries to deliver HIV prevention and care to their citizens. This work is part of a strengthened, unified U.S. government response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic funded by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
