Community Rehabilitation and Treatment (CRT)
Vermont’s Community Rehabilitation and Treatment (CRT) programs assist adults that have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Symptoms may be mild or substantially disabling, and long-term or short term.
Annually, the Designated Agencies CRT programs serve approximately three thousand (3,000) people.
The programs help individuals and their families to develop skills and supports important to living the life they want for themselves. Some of the services are listed below:
- medication prescription and monitoring
- community supports
- help in finding and keeping a job
- help in finding and keeping a place to live
- getting an education
- education to help individuals understand their mental illness
- help in getting your life goals met
- crisis services
- social and recovery skills
